You’re My Cigarette

I don’t smoke anymore; I feel no need to inhale the nicotine or the menthol to get that high

I found my high in other places but here you come reminding me of what I don’t want to miss

You’re my cigarette

I inhale and I can smell it on you, making me want to go back those days where I sat and menthol was my friend, I need just a taste to give me that fix, just a simple taste

You’re my cigarette

I get as close to you as I can, pleading for just a puff but you have put them away and tell me I don’t want to go back to my friend no matter how much I beg but 

You’re my cigarette

I push up on my toes and taste your lips knowing it will give me a bit of that high, you open and let me explore begging for more of the menthol high

You’re my cigarette

The more I taste you, the more I know you have become a new high for me, the more of you I need

You’re my cigarette

The high you give me reminds me of how I used to feel, how I miss it, now I need it back in my life and you’ve made it so that you’re the one I want and need. You walked in here gave me a deep and dangerous taste, turned my life upside down, brought it all back

. Little Sleep

We lay there music flowing in the air all I can think is about how I’ll get little sleep cause I wanna soak you in. Tonight is the one night I have you all to myself, no distractions, no phone calls asking you to come home, nothing but you and I curled up in a tight embrace. 

It’s all cause I wanna soak you in and I’ll get little sleep

The thoughts of what could be float around in my head as I watch you lying in my arms, snuggled up tightly to my chest. 

It’s all cause I wanna soak you in and I’ll get little sleep. 

I don’t mind the hours passing on the clock because I know this is the last time I’ll hold you in my arms, this is the last time I will see you just like this

I don’t wanna close my eyes, I don’t wanna fall asleep because I don’t wanna miss even a moment of time that I have with you

You stir awake and I know this is the end, hold you tight one last time

You kiss me deeply, both of us knowing it’s the last time we will see one another, one final hug and kiss leaves me wanting but
