Cowgirls Can’t Cry

Cowgirls can’t let a tear drop down their cheek even when they freely give their love away for it to simply to be used in the darkness of night.

    Cowgirls can’t cry

    They must be the strong

Cowgirls can’t let those tears fall when they lose themselves inside of someone else and realize what a different person they have become

    Cowgirls can’t cry

    They must be the strong

They can’t cry for the loss of their innocence when they freely gave away their love and expected more

    Cowgirls can’t cry

    They must be the strong

Cowgirls must hold on and be the strong one to make sure both are okay with the outcome of the night and what it means

    Cowgirls can’t cry

    They must be the strong

No matter what happens and what it means to everyone around them

    Cowgirls can’t cry

    They must be the strong

Things look different in the morning light….

Things look different in the morning light

I loved you in the night but come the sunrise I realized just who we were

I needed that fix and you were there just waiting to be used

Oh, but things look different in the morning light

Last night under the neon lights with the music running through my mind oh how I needed the love you would surrender

Oh, but things look different in the morning light

I needed one more fix to get me through the emptiness that filled me up, I could hear the loneliness creeping inside and I needed the love I knew you would give freely

But oh, how things look different in the morning light

I dreamt it couldn’t be real, but as I turned over, I could smell your perfume still lingering around me and that’s when I knew

Things look different in the morning light

I needed your love, your attention, your embrace, and I was willing to take whatever you would give late last night

I’m sorry but things look different in the morning light….
